Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi - Rishikesh (225
kms)
Early morning we would leave Rishikesh. This would be the perfect time
when you can actually view the beauty of Rishikesh. The pristine
atmosphere and clear ambiance would make Rishikesh appear larger than
life. We would have our breakfast in between. We would arrive at
Barkot/Syani Chatti by evening where your room would be booked in a
good resort. Due to extensive travelling we would prefer to rest in
the evening. If you want you can explore the natural treasure of the
ashram around. Your food would be served as and when asked by you.
Overnight stay in the resort.
Day 02 : Rishikesh - Barkot/ Syani Chatti (165/195 kms)
Your morning tea would be served in your room. Hotel staff would
come to clear your room and they would change your bed sheet and would
also clean up the bathroom. Meanwhile you can pack things which you
would like take on your expedition.
Camera, sunglasses, binoculars are some of the essentials which you
should not forget to take. Divided into two - New and Old.
We would cover Old Delhi and cover tourists spots like Jama Masjid,
Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. We know you must be thinking what makes
Chandni chowk such special place in Delhi? Well, this market place is
indeed unique with its narrow lanes. A rikshaw ride here, completely
unveils the historical aspect, and adds inherent value to your tour.
The shops here decades old and are passed over from generation to
generation. A kulfi, an indian ice cream, in Chandni Chowk is a desire
for many people.
In the evening, we would attend the sound and light show at Red Fort.
This 62 minutes sound and light show showcases the past of Mughals and
is generally shown in English. Later in the evening, we would resort
back to our hotel where our food would be served. Just pack you bags
in the evening itself as the next morning we would board the train to
Haridwar.
Day 03 : Barkot/ Syani Chatti- Hanuman
Chatti- Yamnotri - Janki Bai Chatti .
We would leave early in the morning, (6:30 A.M) and would reach
Hanuman Chatti by 8.00 a.m. Leave at 6.30 a.m. reach Hanuman Chatti by
8.00 a.m. At Hanuman Chaati , we would resort to a good deluxe hotel .
At Hanuman Chatti, we would cover the famous Hanuman temple. From
thereon, we would trek till Yamnotri and then return back to Janki Bai
Chatti (26 kms trek). Overnight stay in Janki Bai Chatti.
Day 04 : Janki Bai Chatti - Hanuman Chatti - Uttarkashi (14 kms.
trek.)
In the morning, we would head for Janki Bai Chatti and reach there by
6 AM. From Janki Bai Chatti, we would leave for Hanuman Chatti. At a
distance of 13 kms from Yamnotri, Hanuman Chatti is situated at the
confluence of the Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna rivers. The place offer a
great trekking area and we are sure you would love being here. Later
we would leave for Uttarkashi. We would have our resort in Uttarkashi
. The rooms here would quite good and provide you a scenic locale and
thereby would compel you to stay for long. In Uttarkashi, we would
explore places Govid Wildlife sanctuary. The place also provides a
good trekking ground for adventure lovers. Return back to hotel.
Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 05 : Uttarkashi - Gangotri (100 kms)
Gangotri would be our next stop. We would leave for Uttarkashi at 6.00
a.m to Gangotri. It would be a direct travel in between we would have
our breakfast at the best of resort. This is one of the major
pilgrimage destination of Char Dham Yatra. We would visit the Gangotri
temple, a scenic pilgrimage centre which lies on the bank of river
Bhagirathi. The temple is dedicated to goddess Ganga
We would arrive at Gangotri by 11.00 AM and later we would keep the
rest of the day free so that you can relax and chill down. It would be
good rest zone to mellow down your tiredness. Overnight stay in the
hotel.
Day 06 : Gangotri :
On the sixth day, we would keep the day free and would give you
another day to relax. If you want we would take you to Gaumukh, a
glacier with an altitude of 4200 metres above the sea level. This
would be at an additional cost. It would comprise of 18 kms trek and
would be one way. Later in the evening, you could unveil the natural
surroundings of Gangotri. If you want you can become a part of prayer
which is regularly held at Gangotri. Return back to hotel. Overnight
stay in the hotel.
Day 07 : Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 kms)
Later in the evening, we would leave for Gangotri at 6:00 a.m and
would head towards Uttarkashi from where we would continue our
journey. We would relax on this day and we would have another five
days of journey ahead. Believe us, these realxation break have been
scheduled at the right time and have been so planned so that you can
actually enjoy the serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere of these
places. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 08 : Uttarkashi - Gaurikund (235 kms)
We would start from Uttarkashi in the morning, 7.00 A.M. Breakfast and
lunch would be taken in between. We would arrive at Gaurikund by
evening. Situated 5 kms from Sonaprayag, Gaurikund is situated at an
altitude of 1982 meters. This is the place where Goddess Parvathi
meditate to attain Lord Shiva. It is considered a base trek to
Kedarnath. Pilgrims come here to bath in hot water pond. We would
visit the Gauri Devi temple and would also become a part of the prayer
which is held here. Return back to hotel where your can have your
meal. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 09 : Gaurikund - Kedarnath (14 kms. Trek)
We would leave for Gaurikund, early in the morning and then arrive at
Kedarnath by lunch. We have kept evening free for darshan. Overnight
stay at Kedarnath.
Day 10 : Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Nandprayag (150 kms)
We would leave for Kedarnath, after breakfast. Arrive at Gaurikund by
12.00 Noon . The trek offered here is a 14 kms piece. We would leave
Gaurikund after lunch. Arrive at Nandaprayag by 7.00pm. Overnight stay
at Nandaprayag.
Day 11 : Nandprayag - Badrinath (80 kms.)
We would leave at 7.00 A.M, after breakfast and would reach
Badrinath by lunch. Badrinath is one of the oldest Hindu places of
worship and is situated on the right bank of the river Alkananda. It
is a sacred shrine which is perched at an altitude of 3133m above sea
level. After lunch, we would spend our time in exploring this scenic
pilgrimage site. We have kept evening for Darshan and prayers. Return
back to hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 12 : Badrinath - Nandprayag (80 kms.)
We would leave Badrinath in later half of the day. Till then, we would
just enjoy and view the beauty of Badrinath. Post lunch we would visit
Nandaprayag. It is known for its Gopalji temple. We have kept our
evening free for Darshan. Your food would be served in the hotel room.
Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 13 : Nandprayag - Rishikesh (200 kms)
Later, we would leave from Nandaprayag to another revered destination
Rishikesh. Rishikesh falls 200 kms away from Nandaprayag. Here we
would explore the remaining ashrams which we had left last time. We
would also visit Lakshman Jhula. It is at 3 kms from Rishikesh and is
considered the place where Shri Ram, Hindu God, and his brother
crossed river Ganges on a jute rope. For dinner, try Aloo Puri, (
Potato and flour fried bread). This would be locally available and is
considered the simplest, cheapest and the tastiest dish. Return back
to hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 14 : Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi (225 kms)
From Rishikesh, we would leave for Haridwar. It would take
approxmately 1 hr to reach Haridwar from Rishikesh. If you want we
would lead you to Har Ki Pauri and Mansa Devi temple. This would be at
an additional cost. We would leave Haridwar and move towards Delhi. If
you would want we would arrange a stay in Delhi or otherwise our
representative would drop you on respective airport or railway
station.
