Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Chennai
On arrival traditional welcome is given by the Indian Horizons representative and transferred to the hotel where your room is ready to welcome you and give you the first taste of Indian Hospitality. Overnight at Chennai.

Day 02 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram (40Kms / 1Hr)
Morning drive to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram, famous for its hand woven silk fabrics. After fresh-up at the hotel visit with the Indian Horizons guide the Shore Temple, an impressive display of early temple construction in South India and Penance of Bhagirata, the world's largest bas relief also known as "Arjuna's Penance". Other important temples of Kanchipuram include the 16th century Ekambasreshwar Temple, Kamakshi Temple, dedicated to Parvati "The goddess with the eyes of love", and Vaikunta Perumal Temple & then to Mahabalipuram. Rest of the day relax on the beach. Overnight at Mahabalipuram. 

Day 03 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (162Kms / 4Hrs)
Morning drive to Pondicherry. Afternoon with the Indian Horizons guide half day city tour to Aurobindo Ashram and Museum. Overnight at Pondicherry.

Day 04 : Pondicherry - Thanjavur
Morning drive to Thanjavur. Afternoon with the Indian Horizons guide half day city tour to Brihadeshwara Fort & Temple, Thanjavur Palace & Museum. Overnight at Thanjavur. 

Day 05 : Thanjavur - Trichy (54Kms / 2Hrs)
Morning drive to Trichy. Afternoon with the Indian Horizons guide half day city tour to Srirangam Temple & Jambukeshwara Temple Overnight at Trichy. 

Day 06 : Trichy - Madurai (128Kms / 3Hrs)
Morning drive to Madurai. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Madurai. 

Day 07 : In Madurai
Morning with the Indian Horizons guide half day city tour of Madurai City visiting Famous Meenakshi Temple & Tirumalai Nayak Palace. Overnight at Madurai. 

Day 08 : Madurai - Periyar
Morning drive to Periyar. Afternoon boat ride at The Periyar Lake. Overnight at Periyar. 

Day 09 : Periyar - Trivandrum - Kovalam
Morning drive to Kovalam enroute visit Trivandrum. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Kovalam. 

Day 10 : In Kovalam
Relax on the Beach. Overnight at Kovalam. 

Day 11: Kovalam - Kumarakom
Morning drive to Kotayam. On arrival board Houseboat in backwaters to Kumarakom. It is an incredibly different experience to cruise in the backwaters in the houseboats (modified rice boats of the past), absorbing the beauty of Kerala villages. On arrival check in to hotel. Overnight Kumarakom. 

Day 12 : In Kumarakom
Morning visit the Bird Sanctuary. Rest of the day at leisure to experience the fascinating natural beauty of this destination. Overnight at Kumarakom. 

Day 13 : Kumarakom - Cochin
Morning board Houseboat in backwaters cruise to Alleppy. On arrival transfer to Cochin 60kms/1.5 hrs drive approx. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Cochin. 

Day 14 : In Cochin
Morning with the Indian Horizons guide explore the city of Cochin visiting Fort Cochin, St. Francis Church and the huge, elegant Chinese fishing nets. Overnight at Cochin.

Day 15 : Cochin - Bangalore - Mysore
Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Bangalore. On arrival you would be met by the Indian Horizons representative and transfer to Mysore. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight at Mysore. 

Day 16 : In Mysore
Morning with the Indian Horizons guide sightseeing tour of Mysore city visiting Maharaja's Palaces, Chamundi Hills & Somnathpur. Evening visit Brindavan Gardens, the musical fountains & colorful lights transform this place into a fairyland in the evening. Overnight at Mysore. 

Day 17: Mysore - Belur - Halebid - Hassan (130Kms / 3hrs)
Morning drive to Hassan enroute Belur and Halebid. Overnight at Hassan. 

Day 18 : Hassan - Shravanbelagola - Bangalore (150Kms / 3Hrs)
Morning drive to Bangalore en-route visit Shravanbelgola. 51 kms south - east of Hassan, this is one of most important Jain pilgrim centres. Here is the 17m high monolith of Lord Bahubali - the world's tallest monolithic statue. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bangalore city visit Vidhan Saudha, Nandi Temple - One of the oldest temples of Bangalore, popularly known as the Bull Temple, in Basavanagudi and Lal Bagh Botanical garden. Overnight at Bangalore. 

Day 19 : Bangalore - Mumbai
Morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Mumbai. On arrival Indian Horizons representative would meet you and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Mumbai. 

Day 20: Departure Mumbai
Morning in time transfer to the International Airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
