Day 1:
Arrive Delhi
Welcome with a traditional Indian way with hands clapped together.
Transfer to hotel. Transfer to hotel overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi
Sightseeing of New Delhi in the morning - India Gate, Parliament
House, Connaught Place and Qutub Minar - a minaret towering 102
meters/112 yards into the sky. Afternoon sight seeing of old Delhi -
Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat - cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi.
Wrap up the tour with a marketplace experience at Chandni Chawk, the
street of silver and goldsmiths.
Day 3:
Delhi - Agra
Board train to Agra from Delhi Railway Station. After arrival, visit
Taj Mahal - built by Shah Jehan as a mausoleum for his favourite
wife, Mumtaz Mahal, the Taj is built of white marble, beautifully
carved and inlaid with semi-precious stones. Visit Agra Fort, where
Shah Jehan was imprisoned by his son. Overnight stay at Agra in
hotel.
Day 4:
Agra - Jaipur (via
Fatehpur Sikri)
Drive to Fatehpur Sikri - beautiful capital built in 1640 by the
Moghul king, Akbar the Great. This city is a superb example of
Moghul architecture; it stands perfectly preserved in the desert.
Drive to Jaipur from here, the rose pink capital of Rajasthan.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Jaipur
One would feel the royal experience, as taken to an elephant ride
uphill to the intriguing Amber Palace, a distinguished example of
17th Century Rajput architecture.
Visit old astronomical observatory built by the founder of the city,
Jai Singh, majestic Palace, which houses a rare collection of Indian
art, and the colourful bazaar. Jaipur is popular for its craftsmen,
skilled in brass inlay, lacquer work and stone setting. Most of the
buildings in the old city are made of pink sandstone and one of the
most beautiful is Hawa Mahal, Palace of Winds, where the ladies of
the royal harem used to watch the city from behind the intricately
carved facade. Evening is free. Tourists can enjoy both shopping and
a cultural experience in the markets of Jaipur.
Day 6: Jaipur -
Jodhpur (Train)
Leave Jaipur for Jodhpur by train. Arrive and transfer to our hotel.
Overnight stay at Jodhpur.
Day 7:
Jodhpur
Jodhpur sightseeing - massive fortress, safeguarding the Royal
palaces with their collections of arms and priceless jewels, the
Mehrangarh Fort. Also visit the exquisite Jaswant Thada and the
Mandore Gardens. Jeep Safari to Bishnoi Village in the afternoon to
see the traditional lifestyle of rural Rajasthanis living in small
houses wearing their colorful dresses.
Day 8:
Jodhpur - Udaipur
(Drive)
Drive Ranakpur Temples, home to an exceptionally beautiful complex
in the Aravali range and a popular pilgrimage for the Jains. Arrive
in the early evening at Udaipur. Enjoy an evening boat ride in Lake
Pichola arranged by the hotel. Overnight stay hotel.
Day 9:
Udaipur
Udaipur is a visibly white - the City of Dawn, surrounded by the
ancient Aravali mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, it is
a brilliant kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls,
gardens, lakes, palaces and temples. Mor Chowk, Bhim Vilas Palace,
Jag Mandir are the major attractions of Udaipur.
Day 10:
Udaipur - Bombay
(Mumbai) (Flight)
Early morning flight to Mumbai. Sight seeing of Mumbai after
checking into hotel - Gateway of India, Jain Temple, Marine Drive,
Hanging Gardens and the Prince of Wales Museum. Evening is free. One
can visit other attractions of Mumbai in art, theatre, shopping or
just loitering in one of the largest cities in the world. Overnight
stay at hotel in Mumbai.
Day 11: Mumbai Departure
After an inspiring tour of Rajasthan and bid farewell to India, with
our minds filled with lovely memories of amazing sights, sounds end
experiences.
Day 12: Mumbai -
Goa (Flight)
Fly to Goa, which offers a unique blend of India and a strong
Portuguese influence. Transfer to beachside resort to enjoy the
relaxing Goan lifestyle and sea activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13:
Goa
Free for leisure activities at the beach. Visit Church of Bom Jesus,
which has tomb of St Francis Xavier. These monuments were
influential in spreading forms of Manueline, Mannerist and Baroque
art to all the countries of Asia where missions were established.
Day 14: Relax
Day free to relax on beach
Day 15:
Depart to hometown.
