An Introduction
Brajbhoomi
comprises the twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan. It is not just the
sacred land where Lord Krishna was born and performed his cosmic leela, but a
place full of the divine reminiscences. The city of Mathura, in Uttar Pradesh,
the nucleus of Brajbhoomi, is located at a distance of 145-km south-east of
Delhi and 58-km north-west of Agra.
Vrindavan, around 15 km from Mathura, is a major place of pilgrimage, on the
banks of the Yamuna, attracting about 5 lakh pilgrims every year.

Mathura Vrindavan -
Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi : The jail cell in which Lord Krishna is
supposed to have been born, now turned into a temple.
Jami Masjid : Built by Abd-un Nabir Khan in 1661 AD on the ruins of
Keshav Deo temple, which was destroyed earlier.
Vishram Chat : The bathing ghat where Lord Krishna had rested after
slaying the tyrant King Kansa.
Dwarkadheesh Temple
: Built in 1814 AD
by Seth Gokuldass of Gwalior. it is dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Temple, Krishna Balrama Mandir, Manasi Ganga Kunda, Radha Madana-Mohana Temple,
25 Tirthas Ghats, Jaipur Temple, Radha Vallabha Temple, Seva Kunja, Radha
Damodara Temple, Radharamana Temple, Govinda Dev Temple, Shahji Temple and Rang
Ji Temple. The well-known Govardhan is situated about 26-km from Mathura along
the road to Deeg.

Air : The nearest airport is Agra around 67 km away from Vrindavan. The
nearest international airport is Delhi, which is connected to almost every
important city in the world with major airlines.
Rail : Mathura is on the main lines of the Central and Western Railways
and is connected with all the important cities of the state and country such as
Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Jaipur, Gwalior, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Lucknow.
Road : Mathura is well connected via major National Highways. It is
linked by the regular state bus services of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh,
Rajasthan and Haryana.

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Indian Horizons representative would meet you on arrival at the airport and
transfer you to the hotel where you room would be ready. Overnight at Delhi
Day 02 :
Delhi - Mathura
Morning after breakfast drive to Mathura covering a distance of 147 Kms / 03
Hrs. On arrival check-into the hotel. Afternoon visit Vrindavan , where Lord
Krishna spent his childhood days , played the flute sporting with the Gopis and
where Radhika pined for her lover. Visit the Govind Dev Temple - built in 1590
and a testimony to the architectural splendour of medieval India. Proceed to
Rangaji Temple - Vrindavan's longest temple constructed in 1851 with 50 feet
tall ' Dhwaja Stambha ' believed to be gold - plated. Continue to Madan Mohan
Temple situated near Kali Ghat, Glass Temple and the Bankey Bihari Temple one of
the oldest temples built in 1921. Overnight at Mathura
Day 03 : Mathura - Gokul - Mahavan - Goverdhan - Mathura
Morning after breakfast drive to Gokul where Nand Gopal was sheltered in Yashoda
Maiya's home in secrecy to escape the wrath of tyrant Kansha. Also visit Gokul
Nath Ji Temple. Proceed to Mahavan believed to have cradled Lord Krishna. Visit
'Assi Khambha' the temple dedicated to Mathura Nath Ji. Continue to Goverdhan -
where Lord Krishna held aloft 'Giriraj' , the sandstone hill on his finger for
seven days and nights to protect the people of Braj from the wrath of rain and
thunder sent by Indra. Return to Mathura. Overnight at Mathura
Day 04 :
Mathura - Nand Goan - Barsana - Mathura
Morning visit Nand Gaon - the house of Lord Krishna's foster father Nand , in
whose memory stands the 19th century temple. A little beyond is Pan Sarovar -
one of the four most celebrated lakes in Braj. Continue to Barsana - the birth
place of Radha - with temples in reverence of Ladliji ( Radha ) . Also visit the
water tank ' Prem Sarovar ' , the first meeting place of Radha - Krishna.
Overnight at Mathura
Day 05 : Mathura -
Agra - Delhi
Morning after breakfast drive to Agra covering a distance of 57 Kms/ 02 Hrs.
Visit Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad - Ud - Daullah. Later drive to
Delhi 203 Kms/05 Hrs. Overnight at Delhi
Day 06 : Delhi - Flight Back Home
Morning after breakfast relax for the day. Later in-time transfer to the airport
for your flight back home
